Benjamin Netanyahu’s BaZi Chart: The 甲申 Day Master Explained

Celebrity BaZi Series

Benjamin Netanyahu
The Chair With a Blade Beneath It

A 甲 Wood Day Master rooted in a sea of Earth, sitting on the one branch where Wood is cut off. Reading the chart of Israel’s longest-serving — and most contested — prime minister.

Some charts tell you their story in the first glance. This is one of them. A single 甲 Wood stem, surrounded on almost every side by Earth, sitting on the metal branch where Wood has no root at all. Before we touch a single life event, the structure already whispers the theme: power, wealth, and a self that has to fight for its own ground.

Netanyahu was born one year after Israel declared independence, into a Revisionist Zionist family steeped in history and argument. He became the country’s longest-serving prime minister and, at the same time, the first sitting premier to stand trial. BaZi doesn’t judge politics — but it does map structure. And the structure here is unusually coherent.

The Four Pillars四柱八字

Worked from the OndoDestiny calculator using the San Ming Tong Hui (三命通會) hidden-stem standard. The Hour pillar is omitted — his birth time has never been made public.

The Element Balance五行

This is the headline of the whole chart. Earth — the Wealth element for a Wood Day Master — fills nearly half of it. Wood and Metal sit at a thin 22% each, and Fire and Water are almost absent. A 甲 tree trying to stand in soil this heavy is not a tree that dominates its field. It’s a tree holding on.

偏財格 · Indirect Wealth

The Indirect Wealth pattern. A chart wired for enterprise, opportunity, and the pursuit of resources — capable of large gains, but always negotiating with forces bigger than the self. Networks, deals, and ambition are native to it.

Weak Day Master. Companion stars (比劫) share the burden and reinforce the self — which is exactly the thing this chart never has enough of.

The Hidden Fault Line刑沖破害合

Between the Year and Month branches sits a 丑戌 Punishment (刑). A Punishment is not a clean Clash — it doesn’t break things apart in one stroke. It grinds. Two forms of authority wearing each other down over time. When it falls between the pillar of one’s origins and the pillar of one’s career, it produces a recurring theme rather than a single event.

丑 · 戌 Punishment

Year pillar (origins, lineage) against Month pillar (career, society). The friction of power against power — law, office, and authority caught in slow conflict with the very system the person operates inside.

Both 丑 and 戌 also carry 華蓋 (the Canopy star) — a marker of the solitary, the scholarly, the set-apart. Combined with the Punishment, it sketches a figure who operates at the center of power yet stands somehow alone within it.

The Luck Pillars大運

Direction is reverse (逆), with the first pillar beginning around age 4. What’s striking is how cleanly the early decades line up with the public record.

The 14–23 pillar (壬申, Seven Killings) covers his IDF special-forces years and the 1976 Entebbe raid in which his brother Yonatan was killed. The 庚午 decade (34–43, Seven Killings over Hurting Officer) brackets his rise to a first premiership in 1996.

Notable Shen Sha神煞

Three stars stand out from the structure:

天乙貴人 Nobleman
On 丑 (Year) — the highest auspicious star; powerful patrons and protection in crisis.
華蓋 Canopy
On both 丑 and 戌 — solitude, conviction, the set-apart mind at the heart of power.
驛馬 Travelling Horse
On 申 (Day) — movement, diplomacy, a life lived between countries and capitals.

My Take — Ondo Choi

One Structure, Told Twice

I’ve looked at a lot of charts belonging to powerful men, and most of them have one thing in common: the Day Master sits on solid ground. Netanyahu doesn’t. His Wood sits right on top of Metal, which is the one place Wood has no root at all. In the old texts this is called — the point of being cut off. So here’s a man whose own chair has a blade built into it.

That’s not a metaphor I reach for lightly. Think about the career. Longest-serving prime minister in the country’s history, and also the first one to sit in a courtroom as a defendant. People treat that like a strange contradiction. I don’t. The Year and Month pillars form a 丑戌 Punishment, and a Punishment isn’t a clean fight — it’s two forms of power slowly wearing each other down. When it lands between where you came from and the career you built, you get a very particular kind of life: the man who keeps getting caught in the machinery he built himself.

One more thing, and to me this is the part people miss. Count the Earth in this chart — nearly half of it. That’s Wealth, and it’s everywhere. A chart drowning in Wealth isn’t a lucky chart, whatever the beginners’ books say. It’s a chart where money and influence crowd in until the self can barely breathe. His Useful God turns out to be , the Companion element. In plain terms, what this man has always been short on isn’t money or power — it’s people standing next to him. Read it that way and the whole story stops looking like separate scandals and starts looking like one structure showing its hand, again and again.

Method note. Chart cast on the OndoDestiny BaZi calculator using the 三命通會 hidden-stem standard. Birth time is unknown, so the Hour pillar and any time-based reading are excluded. BaZi is a tool for reading structure and pattern, not a verdict on a person’s politics or character. This is one reader’s interpretation, offered in that spirit. — Ondo Choi
